            Own the newest addition to the Military Collector Series – the FN M249S® PARA, a semi-auto version of the currently contracted FN® M249 PARA. The PARA was designed for airborne, armored infantry and close quarters combat (CQC) operations with a shorter barrel and collapsible buttstock. It retains all of the features of the FN® M249 SAW and can be field converted back to the standard model configuration in just 30 seconds.

            The M249S bring to life a Military Classic for the everyday shooting enthusiast. Based on the M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) this rifle has been carefully created to keep the form factor of the legendary weapon but in a modified semi auto only variant. This Rifle fires from a closed bolt that is driven by the robust gas piston system that especially with proper care keeps this rifle running. the rifle comes with a hard chrome lined chamber and comes in the adaptable 1:7 twist that can handle a variety of ammunition. For getting that ammunition into the rifle the M249S feeds like the Original SAW from either a 200 round belt feed by opening the top cover or the magazine well for taking Standard AR-15 magazines. The rifle is equipped with the same sights as the original and comes with the picatinny railed dust cover for adding optics. The M249S also has a folding bipod and removable heat shield.             The FN M249S, a semi-automatic version of the M249 SAW light machine gun, was originally developed by FN Herstal as the FN MINIMI and adopted by the U.S. military in 1988. The rifle features the signature 18.5-inch FN cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and operates from a closed-bolt position. Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, the rifle will accept both 30-round magazine and linked 20-round ammunition belt. It includes a folding carry handle and bipod.
